7th Annual State Black Visual Arts Exhibit
The Human Resources, Outreach & Diversity Office of The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, and the Office of the Governor presented the 7th Annual State Black Visual Arts Exhibit in the Atrium Gallery at the State Department of Administration building. The Exhibit sponsored in part by ARAMARK Education, helping students flourish and the International Institute; Coordinated by Cheryl Burrell, Office of Outreach & Diversity, Curator, Elena Calderon Patino and Victor Mendoza, Outreach & Diversity office.
The event was attended by about 100 patrons of art, who enjoyed this years African Roots exhibit, as well as refreshments provided by the sponsoring group. Artists highlighted in this years exhibit included: Carlos Cabral, Taalibah Cabral, Eva Jimenez, Munir Monhamed, James Montford, Tony Reeves, Monique Rolie-Johnson, Sarah Martinez, Cynthia Ross-Meeks, Brittanny Taylor, Raymond Toe-Pleh Nigba and Donald Wright. Congratulations on a job well done and a fine art exhibit.
