  • Johnson & Wales University Offers Food Safety Manager Certification Program Online

    PROVIDENCE, R.I.  Jan. 10, 2010  For the busy chef or foodservice professional, Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts is offering easy access to one of the most essential requirements of the business online Food Safety Manager Certification training programs.

    Professionals can select from two courses:
    Food Safety Manager Certification Training and Exam (Cost $160)
    Participants will be required to meet twice with their instructor for two hours. The 15-lesson course comes with a PASS Guarantee. Participants who complete each lesson with 90 percent or better, but dont pass the exam the first time will be able to take the exam a second time at no cost. This course starts Saturday, March 21, 10 a.m.  noon, with the exam to be taken on Saturday, April 17, 10 a.m.  noon.

    At the final class, attendees will sit for the Food Safety Manager Certification exam and receive information regarding registering as a Certified Food Safety Manager in the State of Rhode Island (and neighboring states as well). This TAP Food Safety Manager Certification program is approved by the Conference for Food Protection, ANSI and the Rhode Island Department of Health.

    Food Safety Manager Re-Certification Training (Cost $65)
    Is your Food Safety Manager certification about to expire? Register for Chimera Solutions Training Achievement Program (TAP) six hour, interactive, on-line Food Safety Manager Re-certification program that can be completed at your computer and at your own convenience. The course requires one two-hour meeting with an instructor and starts on Saturday, April 3, 10 a.m.  noon.

    All in-person sessions for all classes will be held at the Harborside Academic Center located at 265 Harborside Blvd., Providence.
